Bacon-Cheddar Burgers

2 eggs
½ cup crushed crackers
½ cup plus ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
4 bacon strips, cut in half


In a large bowl combine the eggs, crushed crackers, ½ cup cheese, seasonings, and ground beef.

Mix well.

Shape into 4 thick patties and place on a baking rack in a 9x13 baking dish.

Top each with 2 half strips of bacon.

Bake at 375 for 35 to 40 min. Drain off grease.

Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 2 to 3 min. longer, or until cheese melts.

Serve on buns with all your favorite burger toppings.
