CARLA’S GALUSKY
(CABBAGE ROLLS)

1 lb. lean ground pork
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup minute rice, uncooked
1 medium onion
2 tsp. salt
1 large head of cabbage
1 medium can sauerkraut
1/2 c. vinegar

Cut center out of cabbage and pour boiling water over it to loosen leaves.
Let leaves set in hot water until soft and can be easily rolled.

Mix meat, rice and onion . Make into small rolls and wrap in cabbage leaves.

Put 1/2 can sauerkraut in the bottom of a large kettle and place the cabbage rolls on top.
Add the other 1/2 of sauerkraut over the top. Add vinegar and enough water to cover.

Cook for 3 hours on medium heat. Yield: about 20 small Galuskys.
