24 Hour Pea Salad

 

Line a 13x9x2 pan with bite-size pieces of lettuce.
Over this sprinkle half a green bell pepper, chopped;
half a red pepper, chopped;
½ cup chopped red onion;
add one 10 oz. pkg frozen green peas, uncooked;
spread 1 ½ cups mayonnaise to which 2 tbls of sugar have been added;
sprinkle on 4 oz. of grated cheddar cheese;
top salad with 8 slices of crisp fried bacon that have been crumbled;
cover and refrigerate overnight.
