Chili Casserole


1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
6 to 8 oz bow tie pasta
1 (15 oz) can chili
1 (14.5 oz) can peeled and diced tomatoes
1 (14 oz) can tomatoes with green chilies
¼ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salsa

 


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


2. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef and onion
cook until the meat is browned and the onion is tender. Drain the fat and set aside.


3. In a separate saucepan, cook noodles according to package directions.
When cooked, drain the water and stir in the meat mixture, chili, tomatoes, and seasonings.
Mix well and place entire mixture into a baking dish. Cover with foil.


4. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, remove foil and sprinkle with cheese.
Return to the oven just until cheese melts.
Serve with salsa.
