Garden Fresh Salsa

 

3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 or 2 mild banana peppers
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 tomatoes chopped small (remove skin and seeds as you chop)
2 tablespoons lemon juice (or lime)
salt and pepper

 

Place onions and peppers in a strainer and slowly pour boiling water over them. Drain and transfer to a mixing bowl.

Sprinkle garlic powder over onions and mix well.

Stir in tomatoes, lemon juice, and salt and pepper.

Mix well.

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
