Holiday Ham
10# fully cooked bone in spiral sliced ham dry rub (below) glaze (below) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dry Rub 1 cup brown sugar 4 tablespoons paprika 4 tablespoons onion powder
Mix well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Glaze 2 sticks butter 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup apricot preserves 1/2 cup chicken broth 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Mix all in a sauce pan on medium heat. Simmer for 10 to 15 minuets till thick and syrupy. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night before your holiday coat ham with dry rub
Refrigerate overnight.
The day of your holiday remove plastic wrap and place ham in a baking dish.
Cover tightly with foil and bake 2 hours and 45 minuets at 350. Make glaze.
Place ham on platter and pour warm glaze on top.
