Holiday Ham

 

10# fully cooked bone in spiral sliced ham

dry rub (below)

glaze (below)

Dry Rub

1 cup brown sugar

4 tablespoons paprika

4 tablespoons onion powder

 

Mix well.

Glaze

2 sticks butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup apricot preserves

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

 

Mix all in a sauce pan on medium heat.

Simmer for 10 to 15 minuets till thick and syrupy.

The night before your holiday coat ham with dry rub
and cover tightly with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate overnight.

 

The day of your holiday remove plastic wrap and place ham in a baking dish.

 

Cover tightly with foil and bake 2 hours and 45 minuets at 350.

Make glaze.

 

Place ham on platter and pour warm glaze on top.
