Meatball Calzones

 

1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 # ground beef
salt and pepper

16 large size refriderator biscuits
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 egg white, beaten with a tablespoon of water

extra parmesan cheese and italian seasonings

14 oz jar pasta sauce or pizza sauce

 

 

In a large bowl mix first 6 ingrediants. Shape into 32 small meatballs.

Place meatballs on a rack in a shallow pan and bake at 400 for 10 min.

Reduce heat to 350.

Roll biscuits into thin circles.

Place 4 meatballs and a nice pinch of cheese onto a flatened biscuit, use the egg white and water mixture
to "glue" a second biscuit on top. Using a fork press the edges all the way around to seal.

Repeat until you have 8 calzones.

Place on greased baking sheets.

Brush tops with the remainder of the egg and water mixure
and sprinkle with extra italian seasonings and parmesan cheese.

Bake for 15 to 25 min. until golden brown.

Serve with sauce for dipping.
