Penne with Creamy Tomato Sauce

1 to 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1/2 cup diced onion
2 1/2 tablespoons chicken broth
1 can diced tomatoes with garlic, basil, and oregano
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
8 ounces dry penne pasta, cooked, drained, and kept warm
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sliced green onions

Heat oil in large skillet. Add diced onion; saute 2 to 3 minutes or until onion is tender.
Add chicken broth; cook 1 minute.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, cream, pasta, olives, and parmesan cheese; heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle with green onions and serve hot.
