Salisbury Steak
For patties:
1 lbs ground beef
6 tablespoons dry seasoned breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 package onion soup mix
1 clove minced garlic
Dash Worcestershire sauce
salt & pepper
For gravy:
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons butter
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup, undiluted
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can French onion soup, undiluted
salt and pepper
dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 sm can sliced mushrooms, undrained (you want the water here)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix ingredients for patties in large bowl and then shape in 4 oval patties
about 1/2" thick.
Place in lightly greased baking dish.
Bake for 40.
While patties are cooking, prepare gravy.
Melt butter and whisk in flour.
Add both soups to the mixture and continue to whisk.
Add Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste.
Add mushrooms turn on low heat and continue to whisk occasionally.
Keep warm.
When patties have cooked, remove from oven and drain
off excess grease.
Cover with gravy and serve.
