Three Cheese Casserole

 

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
10 oz. shell pasta
1 cup small curd cottage cheese
1 (8oz) container soft cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

 

In large skillet cook ground beef and onion until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender.

Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, salt, garlic powder, basil, oregano, and pepper. Remove from heat.

Prepare noodles as label directs and drain.

Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, green onion, and green pepper.

Pour 1/2 of noodles in 11x7 glass baking dish.

Top with a small amount of the meat sauce.

Cover with the cheese mixture.

Layer remaining noodles, then meat sauce.

Top with parmesan cheese.

Bake at 350 for 30 min.

Makes 8 servings.
