Tracee H's Mac and Cheese
1 block of Nice and Cheesy (Kroger brand) cheese
butter: 2 T. for rue and some to dot the top of the casserole with
1 pound of pasta
2 cups of milk
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of white pepper
2 T. flour
2 cups of sharp shredded cheddar cheese
Set oven at 375, and butter lasagna pan.
Boil pasta in salt water drain put in large bowl and set aside.
Cut cheese into small chunks and set aside.
Make rue, in large pot take 2 T. of butter and melt in pot, then add
2 T. of flour and whisk until blended (30-40 seconds)
add milk and whisk until it starts to steam add nutmeg, salt, and pepper
and whisk until it starts to thicken.
Add nice and cheesy cheese then turn off the heat use wooden spoon and
stir until cheese is melted.
Pour over pasta add shredded cheese and stir until blended.
Pour into lasagna pan dot with butter over top put into oven for 15
minutes.
Take out and stir turn up to 400 and put back into oven for another
15 minutes.
Let set 15-30 minutes and eat.
